AUTUMN A POEM
The Sounds and Smells of Autumn
By Bud Manuel
The wind in dry leaves,
The crisp night air.
The crackling underfoot of fallen leaves,
The excited shouts of childreen in Halloween's spooky night air.
These are a few of the sounds of Autumn!
The apple pie baking,
The bonfire's burning.
The homemade bread baking,
Oh, please, not the fudge Burning!
These are a few of the smells of Autumn.
The migrating geese on their way to their winter homes,
The gorcery stores full of a bountiful harvest.
The holiday travelers on the road to their families' homes,
Ready for the Thanksgiving Fest!
All of these and more mean that it is Autumn,
The start of the holiday season!
May you have a very good Holiday Season!
The End
